On April 5, 2025, Uplift LA Institute and Delta EMBODI Century City led a group of motivated young men on an unforgettable field trip to Aero Charter at LAX.
The experience was guided by dedicated mentors: Brothers Ronnie Walker, Rodney Jones, James Brooks, Joe Williams, Michael Martin, and visiting brother Evan Tyler — all committed to exposing youth to real-world opportunities.

The goal of the trip was clear: to introduce these young men to the exciting and ever-evolving world of aviation, and the many career pathways it offers.

The group was warmly welcomed by Victor Walker, Chief Operating Officer of Aero Charter, and Adam Calderas, a key figure at the LAX Tower and founder of Air Traffic Intelligence LLC.
Both leaders shared their inspiring journeys in aviation, offering insight, encouragement, and practical advice.

Key topics of the day included the rising impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in aviation, cybersecurity, becoming a pilot, and the critical role of air traffic intelligence.
Students also received a breakdown of the steps required to pursue careers in these dynamic fields.

The young men were engaged, inquisitive, and eager—asking thoughtful questions and soaking up the knowledge being shared.
The day concluded with a tour of the LAX Museum, where they explored the fascinating history of air travel and learned how the airline industry came to life.

This impactful experience didn’t just inform — it inspired.
Many students walked away with a new sense of purpose and a fresh perspective on what’s possible in the skies ahead.
